Custom Burl Pen (#27)

This custom pen was handcrafted by one of our very own camp counselors. The wood used for this pen was taken from a burl which is a tree growth where the grain has grown in a deformed manner. It is commonly found in the form of a rounded outgrowth on a tree trunk or branch that is filled with small knots from dormant buds. This burl had been growing on a tree located directly outside of the Main Cabin featured in the movie. Each pen is totally unique with its own character in the wood grain.

The Iroquois pen is a perfect match for anyone who is an outdoor enthusiast! This pen will be a cherished reminder of their time spent in the great outdoors. It has a primitive, hand-made feel and is styled as if it was carved from rocks, trees, and other natural elements found in nature. This pen features tree silhouettes on the tip, a mountain range on the center band, the sun and moon rising over mountains on the pen end and the phrase “Adventure Awaits” on the pen top. While the clip features a big old grandfather tree – representing the strength and wonder of the outdoors. Includes a smooth writing Parker refill. Additional refills are easy to find online.
